Nowadays Bachata is one of the most popular dance forms across Latin America, and now in Europe too.

Originating in the Dominican Republic, it's a simple dance based on Common time, 4/4 rhythm.

Urban Bachata takes advantage of the common beat between Bachata and European/UK Techno, Trance & Dance Music, 80s Disco and Pop, and Soul, Hip Hop and Rap.

Almost all popular music of the last 50 years is built on common beat, 4/4 rhythm (approx. 120 bpm), exactly like Bachata. So we can dance Bachata to all the biggest songs of the 2000s, 90s, 80s, and 70s.

Urban Bachata is based on the original, simple form of Bachata still common in the Dominican Republic — no complicated steps, no crazy turns. Most people pick it up in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Do I need a partner?

Urban Bachata adapts to any circumstance, groove to your favourite music solo, with friends, or with a partner (it's most fun this way). No need to master complicated partner choreography like on Strictly or Dancing with the Stars — just show up and move.
